The
Colorado State Patrol is reconsidering the jaywalking ticket issued to a
good Samaritan who was seriously injured by a pickup after he pushed three people out of its path. (
Colo. reconsiders ticket issued to good Samaritan )
Bus driver Jim Moffett and another man were helping two elderly women cross a busy Denver street in a snowstorm when he was hit Feb. 20.
the patrol said Thursday it is "re-examining the investigation" and reviewing the tickets with prosecutors. The pickup driver was cited for careless driving resulting in injury.
(I am glad that smarter heads are thinking of not giving this good samaritan a ticket. Yes we have laws but key is how we enforce them and when we enforce them.)
