'Jon & Kate' Plus 9.8 Million Viewers

Jon & Kate Plus 8 isn't going anywhere, TLC says. (  TLC Not Letting Go of Jon & Kate Plus 8  )

Some people complain that the stars' marital troubles have become painful to watch, but despite (or because of) those troubles, the fifth-season premiere earned monster ratings.
 
(I don't watch this show I have viewed parts of it when I have been switching the channel. Kate has turned me off. It looks to me like she is in love with fame. This is not a good way to bring kids up. What does this say about TV that TLC wants to keep this show even while this family might be breaking up. What does it say about our culture that more people are watching as this couple goes through hard times. I don't think Jon and Kate are acting to get higher ratings but nothing shocks  me anymore.)
