Dr. James Dobson, the voice of Focus on the Family, will no longer host its flagship radio broadcast and is cutting formal ties with the Christian ministry he founded more than 30 years ago.
Focus on the Family says its board of directors and Dobson agreed on the moves, which will go into effect at the end of February. A spokesman for the evangelical ministry says the parting is amicable and the 73-year-old Dobson's "health and attitude are great." (

(At times I thought Dr. Dobson put too much faith in politics and made too much focus of his radio program politics. I agreed with him on the so called culture issues. At the same time I admire how he ran his ministry and how he never put his name on any of the buildings because he didn't want the ministry to be about him. I wish him well as he goes to the next step in his life and wish Focus on the Family the best. May God bless and keep useing Dr. Dobson and the ministry of Focus on the Family.)
