The vice chairman of the Republican National Committee says
the RNC never should have had a health insurance plan that covered
abortions. ( RNC will drop abortion coverage )
Politico uncovered last week that since 1991, the Republican
National Committee has offered employees a health insurance plan through Cigna
that covers elective abortion. RNC chairman Michael Steele says he did not know
the abortion coverage existed but will have it dropped.
(Yes the RNC should never had a plan like this but it is good they are dropping it. I would expect the Democrats to have a plan that pays for abortions but not the RNC. )
