2009 Top Stories and My Pick's for the New Year

So what were the top stories from this pass year, 2009: If you would like to see a video of me reading some of this post check out my video channel on You Tube later tonight,  right here.

Health care debate: Moderate Democrats like my US Senator Ben Nelson going along with the wishes of those on the radical left:

War with radical Islam kept going on like that   suicide bomber  on Christmas somehow getting on the  that plane which was going  to Detroit thank God his will was prevented . What happen shows our current White House and some of our leaders aren’t committed to defeating the radicals as much as they are to defeating us.

President Obama moves into the Whitehouse and takes over the nation and pushes the  radical left's will  on most issues.

A  new lady  justice is named to the highest court in the land. The  media avoids questions about things she has done and said and gives her a pass.

On the web FACEBOOK and TWITTER becomes popular to see who is doing what.

FLUE illness becomes a main news story.

President Obama poll numbers going down. Also leaders in the Senate and the House not following the will of the majority of Americans.

The  movement of the Tea Parties:

The death of US Senate Kennedy:

So what was the top story of the year the war with radical Islam was pretty close to being number 1 but to me the top story was  the Health care debate: Moderate Democrats like my US Senator Ben Nelson going along with the wishes of those on the radical left to get a health care bill passed in the US Senate. No longer can Sen. Ben and others like him claim   they are middle of the road Democrats. Nelson sold out and let many pro lifers down in supporting a bill that will fund the killing of the unborn.

What will we be talking about next year at this time. I am not a prophet so call these guesses in some cases educated   guesses

Obama will keep pushing his radical left politics. Which makes me keep thinking  something I said last year will happen in a few years and that is Obama will end up being a term President just like President Carter was.

The leaders of America will keep from acting like radical followers of Islam hate us.

Many Democrats in the House and Senate will lose their jobs because of their support for health care.

Spending and higher taxes will increase by this current White House.

The debate over force government health care will keep going on.

The war against people of faith here in America and around the world will increase. People of faith will have to decide if their faith is in a leader, government, a political party, or political system or in the one true God who gave his life for all of us.

People of faith being murdered, abused, and even put in prison around the world will keep going on and us in America will have to see people around the world are truly suffering for the Lord and get over some little things like the sermon going longer than ten minutes so we miss watching the kick off of our NFL team.

Happy New Year I hope and Pray.

Christmas Miracle

A Colorado woman says a Christmas miracle brought her and her newborn son back from the brink of death after her heart stopped beating during childbirth and the baby was delivered showing no signs of life.

“I got a second chance in life,” Tracy Hermanstorfer said.

Hermanstorfer, 33, was being prepped for childbirth at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs Thursday morning. Her 37-year-old husband was by her side when she began to feel sleepy and lay back in her bed.

“She literally stopped breathing and her heart stopped,” her husband, Mike, told The Associated Press. Pandemonium erupted as doctors and nurses tried to revive her with chest compressions and a breathing tube, but nothing worked.

Swedish authorities frown on home schooling

A Swedish family is faced with the prospect of losing their children simply because they home school.

The Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) is reporting that Swedish authorities in June boarded a plane scheduled to depart for India and removed Christer and Annie Johansson's seven-year-old son Dominic from the custody of the Christian couple. HSLDA attorney Mike Donnelly says Swedish officials did not have a warrant and were acting in accordance to the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child. (Swedish authorities frown on home schooling  )

Donnelly notes that the Swedish government does not believe that home schooling is a proper way to educate a child.

(So a government knows what is best for your children? This is an outrage. If this was a case which showed facts of the children being abused I would agree it was the right move to take the children but there are no facts outside that  the Swedish government hates home schooling. This is sad for this family and an outrage that should concern all of us who care about children. Could this be coming to America?)

Nelson feeling the heat in Nebraska

Senator Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska) is attempting to subdue the anger of pro-lifers who feel he betrayed them with his support for the Senate healthcare bill.

Senator Nelson aired a new television ad last night during the Nebraska-Arizona Holiday Bowl game in an attempt to justify casting the 60th vote in favor of the Senate healthcare bill. Nelson claims in the ad that he "took a commonsense approach to improve the bill," however the two-term senator alienated many of his past supporters who are pro-life when he supported legislation that allows taxpayer funding of abortion.

Julie Schmit-Albin, executive director of Nebraska Right to Life, says her group had a great relationship with Nelson and his staff until he went back on his word.

(Sen. Nelson can do all the political talk he wants to but he  no longer can run on theme that he is pro life. What he did by going along with the pro. abortion left  will allow tax money to be used to kill unborn babies. Thanks Sen. Nelson for selling out the unborn. 13 state AGs threaten suit over health care deal

Republican attorneys general in 13 states say congressional leaders must remove Nebraska's political deal from the federal health care reform bill or face legal action, according to a letter provided to The Associated Press Wednesday. (13 state AGs threaten suit over health care deal )

"We believe this provision is constitutionally flawed," South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster and the 12 other attorneys general wrote in the letter to be sent Wednesday night to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

"As chief legal officers of our states we are contemplating a legal challenge to this provision and we ask you to take action to render this challenge unnecessary by striking that provision," they wrote.

(Good for these  attorneys general. Even us in Nebraska who got this political deal don't think it was right. Why should one state not ever have to pay something that the rest of America has to.)

Lefties wish Limbaugh ill...

As news broke Wednesday night of radio show host Rush Limbaugh's hospital visit due to chest pains, many of his political counterparts on the left put down their ideological swords and wished him well on Twitter.

"All best wishes to Mr. Limbaugh tonight, for a full and speedy recovery," wrote MSNBC's Rachel Maddow.

Mediaite's Rachel Sklar cautioned Rush's detractors: "No stooping to wishing him ill, people! (Karma.)"

Salon's Joan Walsh: "I can't enjoy the news of Rush Limbaugh's illness. Is there something wrong with me? He has a family. Aren't we better than that?"

And radio show host Alan Colmes said that "we wish him well."

There were others who weren't quite sure how to react. Mother Jones's David Corn begrudgingly offered this: "Rush, you've slimed me in the past. But, I suppose, good luck to you, too." But earlier, Corn wrestled with how to react to Rush's illness given Limbaugh's own reaction to the medical fortunes of others.

"Resist the snark about Rush's rush to the hospital?" asked Corn. "Yeah. But remember what he said about Ted Kennedy." Corn provided a link to a Huffington Post article that referenced a March Limbaugh show in which "Limbaugh suggested that Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) would be dead by the time health care reform legislation passes. 'Before it's all over, it'll be called the Ted Kennedy memorial health care bill.'"

(This is what I along with most Americans from both the left and right hate about politics. We are in a war with those who hate America and all of us Americans, so why do we hate those who have different politics than we do. We all should wish Rush the best and pray  for him. I would post the same if he was from the left. Read more on the above story Lefties wish Limbaugh ill.)

"Obama Is, Of Course, Greater Than Jesus."

[obama-church.jpg]

(And just when you thought the cult of Obama couldn't get more crazy , here comes an editorial from Denmark's second ranking  newspaper, Politiken. And, no;this isn't some kind of joke. Read part of the editorial below.)

He is provocative in insisting on an outstretched hand, where others only see animosity.

His tangible results in the short time that he has been active – are few and far between. His greatest results have been created with words and speeches – words that remain in the consciousness of their audience and have long-term effects.

He comes from humble beginnings and defends the weak and vulnerable, because he can identify himself with their conditions.

And no we are not thinking of Jesus Christ, whose birthday has just been celebrated - - but rather the President of the United States Barack Hussein Obama.

On the other hand, we have Jesus’ miracles that everyone still remembers, but which only benefitted a few. At the same time, we have the wonderful parables about his life and deeds that we know from the New Testament, but which have been interpreted so differently over the past 2000 years that it is impossible to give an unequivocal result of his work.

(I am sorry Jesus died for every soul and came back from the dead. President Obama has never done that. Today we hear people talking about cults and one of the things cults do is have a human leader that people worship instead of the true  God. That sounds like  what some misguided  souls are doing far as President Obama goes.)

Taxpayers funding phone service for illegals

Some university faculty members are using taxpayers' dollars to fund a GPS telephone project aimed at helping people who are crossing the border illegally.

Faculty at University of California, San Diego are developing a GPS-enabled cell phone that tells dehydrated migrants where to find water and pipes in poetry from phone speakers. ( Taxpayers funding phone service for illegals )

The Transborder Immigrant Tool is part technology endeavor, part art project. It introduces a high-tech twist to an old debate about how far activists can go to prevent migrants from dying on the border without breaking the law.

(Now I don't want anyone dieing no matter if they are following the law or not but aren't there other ways to help  besides using tax payer's  money. )

Vermont judge favors lesbian in child custody battle

The birth mother of a 7-year-old Virginia girl must transfer custody of the child to the woman's former lesbian partner, a Vermont judge ruled, adding that it seems the woman has "disappeared" with her daughter.

Vermont Family Court Judge William Cohen ordered Lisa Miller of Winchester, Va., to turn over daughter Isabella to Janet Jenkins of Fair Haven at 1 p.m. Friday at the Virginia home of Jenkins' parents.

But in the Dec. 22 order denying Miller's request to delay the transfer of Isabella, Cohen wrote: "It appears that Ms. Miller has ceased contact with her attorneys and disappeared with the minor child."

(Most of the time I don't encourage people to not follow the rule of law but I don't blame this mother for trying to keep her child safe. How can a judge make a ruling for a child to go live with a lady she  hardly knows or knows at all. This ruling should once again show how flow our court system is. President under fire on national security...

Republicans have seized on the Christmas day attempted terrorist attack as evidence that Democrats are weak on national security issues, as they seek to bolster their credentials ahead of next year’s congressional elections.

As the Obama administration’s investigation into how a 23-year-old Nigerian was able to carry explosives on to a US-bound aircraft gathers pace, a slew of Republicans have criticised everything from the timing of the president’s first public comments to his plans to close the Guantánamo Bay prison camp. (President under fire on national security)

Soft talk about engagement, closing Gitmo, these things are not going to appease the terrorists,” said Jim DeMint, a Republican senator from South Carolina.

“They’re going to keep coming after us, and we can’t have politics as usual in Washington, and I’m afraid that’s what we’ve got right now with airport security,” Mr DeMint told Fox News.

(I don't like using attacks on America or possible attacks for political gain but it does look like some of us that the current White House is weak when it comes to defending America. I am still concern because of their policy we could see another 911 attack here in America that would be worst than the first one. President Obama and those running America have the idea we just want to be nice to those who hate us.)

Sen. Nelson to air TV ad tonight...

As a fresh poll measured the political cost of Sen. Ben Nelson's health reform vote, he prepared Tuesday to take his case directly to Nebraskans during Wednesday night's Holiday Bowl game.

Nelson will air a new TV ad in which he attempts to debunk opposition claims that the Senate legislation represents a government takeover, and he makes the case for health care reform.

"With all the distortions about health care reform, I want you to hear directly from me," the Democratic senator says in the ad.

Nelson, dressed in an open-necked shirt and sweater, speaks directly into the camera during the 30-second ad.

The message will be launched during the Nebraska-Arizona football game and continue to air statewide for an undisclosed number of days.

The political damage Nelson may have incurred in providing the critical 60th vote that cleared the way for Senate passage of the health care reform bill showed up Tuesday in a poll released by Rasmussen Reports.

The telephone survey of 500 Nebraskans, conducted Monday, suggested Republican Gov. Dave Heineman would defeat Nelson in a potential 2012 Senate race by a 61-30 margin.

(Sen. Nelson can do all the political talk he wants to but many of us Nebraskans won't forget what he has done. He sold out and has made our proud state look bad. He sold us out. Read more on this issue DEM DEATH WATCH: Beleaguered Sen. Nelson to air TV ad tonigh.)
