Public school officials in Wilson County, Tennessee, have agreed to stop
distributing Bibles to students during the school day on school grounds. The
settlement comes after the American Civil Liberties Union threatened to sue the
district.
The ACLU said in a news release that students were taken into the gym and they were given Bibles. The students were told they didn't have to take a Bible but one fifth grade student feared being ostracized. (Schools agree to end Bible
distribution )
(OK perhaps during school time leaders of the school shouldn't encourage kids to take a Bible but look at how students of faith are put down in theses same schools when them or their parents speak up on so called sex education, or that they believe the homosexual life is wrong. So things that bless wrong actions are OK in the schools but not giving out a Bible. Perhaps this is why many children are struggling because they don't know there is a God loves them and has his rules written down. This might also be another reason to remove your children from the government schools. )
