The People's Seat (Not Dead Kennedy's)

Here is a great video of something  Scott Brown said in a debate  between those running for the US Senate in Mass. What he said was powerful and right on. Watch the video  right here.

Seating Mass. Senate winner could be delayed

Massachusetts' top election official says it could take weeks to certify the results of next week's Senate special election, a delay that could help President Barack Obama pass his health care bill if the Republican wins. (Seating Mass. Senate winner could be delayed

   )

Obama's health overhaul needs 60 Senate votes to pass.  Kirk, a Democrat, would vote for the overhaul. Republican Scott Brown has said he would vote to kill it.

(It doesn't take a bright mind to know what is happening, the Democrats are so worried that their party might lose the election in Mass. that  would kill forced government health care that they are willing to play dirty politics even after the voters have spoken. )

Lets Follow Brit Hume's Example : (Cal Thomas Thoughts)

The secular left -- and some self-described Christians -- criticize Brit Hume, the Fox News commentator, for suggesting that the solution to Tiger Woods' problems is a relationship with Jesus Christ. Hume made his remarks on "Fox News Sunday." Disclosure: I also appear on Fox News.
Hume said, "My message to Tiger would be: Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world."
That is a message shared for 2,000 years by those who follow Jesus of Nazareth. It apparently continues to escape the secular left that Christians feel compelled to share their faith out of gratitude for what Jesus has done for them (dying in their place on a cross and offering a new life to those who repent and receive Him as savior). In a day when some extremists employ violence to advance their religion, it is curious that many would save their criticism for a truly peace-bringing message such as the one broadcast by Brit Hume.
(The above is part of a column written by Cal Thomas. Read more of what Cal wrote below.)

Christians like Hume are not trying to impose anything on anyone. They know the difference Jesus has made in their lives and they care enough about others to want to share His message in the hope that other lives will be similarly transformed.

When he was president, Jimmy Carter shared his faith with South Korean President Park Chung Hee as the two rode in a limousine on the way to the airport. The New York Times ludicrously editorialized about a possible violation of church-state separation.

( It is sad and strange that you can use God's name as a curse word and it is cool and no one  on the left gets upset but if you express faith in Jesus in public way  or speak kindly of God you will get in trouble like Brit did. Those of us who are followers of Jesus need to speak God's word to  others even if we have to suffer. Lets follow Brit's example. Lets also pray that Tiger will put his faith in the Lord Jesus.  Read the whole piece by Cal Thomas, Something About That Name.)

Get Help from the Government Not Your Family = Annie's Mail Box

Dear Annie: My 24-year-old daughter is living with me because she cannot afford to live on her own with three baby boys. She could receive help from the government but chooses not to apply for assistance. She says it is embarrassing.

She does have a job, but gets no help from the fathers of the children (two different men).

The problem is, this situation is not helping my marriage. My husband has been very patient with his stepdaughter and helps out, but he does not have any patience when it comes to her making the same mistake over and over — having a child out of wedlock or when she's not in a committed relationship.

(The above was a letter written to the column called Annie's Mailbox which is picked up by newspapers around the nation including mine. My heart goes out to this lady and her husband for the trouble they are having to do with her  daughter  having to live with them. However shouldn't family or private groups like churches be the ones we go to for help. Why do we always go to or lead people to Uncle Sam when they need help. It should be the job of families and churches to take care of those in need not the job of Uncle Sam. Read more on this issue ANNIE'S MAILBOX(R).)

US Agencies Coordinating Haiti Rescue Efforts

(Please join me and others in praying for the people of Haiti.
If you want to help give to the American Red Cross or through your church. There are things which the government of Hatia has done before and the help has not gotten to the people in need  so I would be very careful about giving through  a  government based group. )

Reid, race, and regret - and that's all

A conservative media analyst says the mainstream media will once again be demonstrating its bias if it quickly ends its coverage of Harry Reid's controversial race remarks like the White House wants.

The new book Game Change recounts how Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) in 2008 described then presidential candidate Barack Obama as a "light-skinned" black American, -----------------------."
Reid issued a statement Saturday, saying: "I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African-Americans, for my improper comments." (Reid, race, and regret - and that's all  )

Tim Graham, director of media analysis at the Media Research Center, says when it comes to race, if a Republican had said the same thing Reid did, there would have been a different tone to the press coverage than what people are currently hearing.

(There should be no debate that there is a double  standard. People like Rev. Sharpton who is a Pastor only in name has supported Mr. Reid along with others on the left who go after those on the right all the time. I guess if you are following the politics of the left you can say whatever you want to. How sad and a big outrage!)

Poll: Obama Health Care Marks Hit New Low

President Obama's approval rating on handling health care is at an all-time low, according to a new CBS News poll, something that is helping to drag down his overall approval rating.

Just 36 percent of Americans approve of Mr. Obama's handling of health care, according to the poll, conducted from Jan. 6 – 10. Fifty-four percent disapprove. In December of last year, 42 percent of Americans approved of the president’s handling of health care, and 47 percent approved in October.
( I guess Obama is so set on pushing his radical policies on the American public that he isn't embracing what the majority of Americans want or don't want. There was a time  when our leaders would be open to what we thought now that  kind of leadership  is history. Well if they won't listen to us we can make them listen by giving them a pink slip. WILL THIS MAN END DEM SUPER MAJORITY?

The policy differences between Democrat Martha Coakley and Republican Scott Brown were as clear during last night’s debate as they have been throughout this short special-election campaign.

Coakley supports ObamaCare, opposes the war in Afghanistan, and favors higher taxes on the wealthy. Brown is against the health care legislation, backs the president’s surge in Afghanistan, and wants across-the-board tax cuts à la JFK.

But the most striking thing about the debate was not that the very liberal Democrat and the not-especially-conservative Republican disagreed on the issues. It is that they are both viable candidates in a race too competitive to call. In Massachusetts!

Read more about the man who could stop  forced government health care and other planes the left has for America, WILL THIS MAN END DEM SUPER MAJORITY? in a column written by Jeff Jacoby.)
