'Pathetic' Olbermann vents against Scott Brown

One of MSNBC's lone conservative hosts says one of his liberal colleagues on the cable network is behaving in a "reckless" and "pathetic" manner on the air.

MSNBC host Keith Olbermann unleashed a tirade Monday evening against Republican Scott Brown, who the next was elected to the Senate seat from Massachusetts that was held by the late Democratic Senator Ted Kennedy for 47 years. "In short, in Scott Brown we have an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against woman and against politicians with whom he disagrees," stated Olbermann.

"In any other time in our history, this man would have been laughed off the stage as an unqualified and a disaster in the making by the most conservative of conservatives," he continued. "Instead, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is close to sending this bad joke to the Senate of the United States."

MSNBC colleague Joe Scarborough responded to Olbermann's tirade on Twitter, calling his comments "reckless and sad." On his Morning Joe program Tuesday, Scarborough called Olbermann's attack on Brown "sad and pathetic.

(Can you guess what would have happened if somebody on the right had made these kinds of comments after Obama, or Carter had been elected. MSNBC  and most of their hosts are part of the radical left  and are Democrats. MSNBC should be renamed the Obama network. Read more  'Pathetic' Olbermann vents against Scott Brown.)

Dutch lawmaker faces hate speech trial

Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders sat in the defendant's dock Wednesday, nodding his head as prosecutors read aloud a hundred remarks he has made condemning Islam, Muslims and immigrants — notably one comparing the Quran to Hitler's "Mein Kampf."

The flamboyant bleach-blond politician has also called for taxing clothing commonly worn by Muslims, such as headscarves, because they "pollute" the Dutch landscape. He may be best known for the 2008 short film "Fitna," which offended Muslims around the world by juxtaposing Quranic verses with images of terrorism by Islamic radicals.

"I know the words I use are sometimes hard, but they are never impetuous," he told judges Wednesday.

"I also do not intend to hurt people's feelings. I have nothing against Muslims. I have a problem with Islam and the Islamization of our country because Islam is diametrically opposed to freedom."

(Good for this leader. We need more leaders around the world like him including here in America. Truth does hurt people but leaders should never have to worry about speech being punished. Everyday around the world followers of Christ have things said against them and their faith but are they ever punished? Of course not. Obama sticks to agenda even after Defeat in Mass.

U.S. President Barack Obama will stick to his policy agenda despite his Democratic Party's loss of a key Senate seat in a Massachusetts special election, a top White House aide said on Wednesday. (Obama sticks to agenda...
 )
(This just shows how  out of touch the left  which sadly includes  President Obama is with the American people. At least President Clinton was willing to change some when he suffered defeats while in office. I guess it will take defeat after defeat to stop Obama and his radical policies. This will end up costing his party but sadly it will hurt the nation too. )

Brown Wins in Mass.

Republican Scott Brown, fresh from his stunning Massachusetts Senate victory, said Wednesday his election that shook the power balance on Capitol Hill had sent a "very powerful message."

Brown told reporters he wants to get to work as soon as possible and "I think it's important that we hit the ground running."

His triumph for the seat long held by Sen. Edward Kennedy was a devastating Democratic defeat that triggered soul-searching within President Barack Obama's party over how to stem further losses in November's midterm elections.

But, Brown said, "Game's over. Let's get to work."

(Yes it is time for Brown to get to work. However this election should show that Obama along with the Democrats in leadership and their political party isn't following the will of the American people. If a state like Mass. is willing to vote against a  Democrat  in the seat held by the late Sen. Kennedy there must be something wrong. Now lets see if Brown and others can make the Democrats listen to the American voters. Read more on this issue Time to get to work, says Sen.-elect Brown .)

Mass. Election Thoughts

My posting is late today but I am just sitting here waiting for the results from the Mass. election. If Scott Brown defeats  Martha Coakley we will see the end of Obamacare  even though I am sure the backers of it will do everything to push it through before Brown is seated in the Senate. You also  might even see cases filed in court  saying the election wasn't fair like you did when VP Gore battled Bush for the White House.
I just saw some of the votes from the election Brown is up by 5% of the vote. It is early and too close to call. However if Brown doesn't win still a message should be sent to the White House and that is stop pushing your radical left policies on the American people. Do I expect Obama and his backers to listen to the voters and the American people? Nope it will take defeat after defeat. Still everyone else will see the point. Lets  cross our fingers and hope Scott Brown is the new Senator from Mass. Go Brown!

Warren Watch: Buffett’s sister, Limbaugh differ on health care

Rush Limbaugh has no problems with U.S. medical care, but Warren Buffett’s sister says many people aren’t so lucky.

Doris Buffett, whose Sunshine Lady Foundation gave $10.4 million in contributions in 2008 to a wide range of charities, was interviewed by Davidson College of Charlotte, N.C., one of 15 colleges where she supports classes on philanthropy to give students firsthand experience with the process of making wise donations.

She told the college’s interviewer that among other purposes, her donations go toward education and to groups that help battered women and people who need financial help because of illness.

Limbaugh, a conservative radio talk-show host who opposes the health care legislation being debated in Congress, spent a night in a hospital in Hawaii last month after suffering chest pains. At a press conference Jan. 1 when he was released, he said:

“The treatment I received here was the best that the world has to offer. Based on what happened here to me, I don’t think there’s one thing wrong with the American health care system. It is working just fine, just dandy.”

Doris Buffett said she hopes the philanthropy classes leave students with “the urge to do things for people all their life. Where they see the need, fulfill it. To do something, to be an activist, and social justice. Just helping people who need help.

(OK Buffett  wants everyone to get health care. I would like to challenge her and all those on the left to show me one person who has been denied health care because they couldn't afford it. If we get Obamacare, health care will be denied to people including older people. Yes changes need to be made in health care but just because the baby's bath water is dirty doesn't mean you put the baby in the trash. Ten Commandments display stays

An appeals court decision favoring a Ten Commandments display in Grayson County, Kentucky, will likely not be appealed. (Ten Commandments display stays )

The display -- entitled "Foundations of American Law and Government" and found on the second floor of the county courthouse -- also includes the Magna Carta, the Mayflower Compact, the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, The Star-Spangled Banner and the national motto, among other things. The Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Thursday that it passes constitutional muster.

( I have no problem with the Ten Commandments being displayed in public or in the government schools but those of us who are Bible based followers of Jesus should not forget God gave us them not to make people act good but to show us how we are sinners and need God.)

Dems face 'un-ignorable wake-up call'

A columnist for The Boston Globe predicts that if Republican Senate candidate Scott Brown wins tonight in Massachusetts, President Obama's healthcare legislation in its current form will be defeated.

related video buttonRepublicans and Democrats in Massachusetts are predicting a high turnout today as the battle to succeed the late Senator Edward Kennedy goes down to the wire. Special elections tend to draw relatively few voters, but Democrat Martha Coakley and Republican Scott Brown are locked in a neck-and-neck race in a state that has not elected a Republican senator since 1972.
