Jan. 22, 1973

On this day in history ( Jan. 22, 1973 )  something horrible took place thanks to the highest human court  here in America. The right for any reason to kill unborn children was granted. It is best known as the Roe vs. Wade decision. It  is a day we should look on with sadness. We should also pray and think about how we (with God's help of course) can see the right to life honored again here in America. It might be to write a letter to your newspaper, to an elected leader, to support or volunteer at a Pregnancy Center which love the mothers, and the unborn children. Above all we should pray that God will move and allow life to be honored here in America again. Abortion is not the reason our culture is so sinful it is a reflection that we as a people are sick that we would kill children.

Howard Stern to Return to traditional radio?

Howard Stern revealed to Sirius listeners on Thursday that he's been approached by terrestrial radio about a possible return.

Stern is in the final year of a five-year, $500 million contract with the satellite radio giant. (Howard Stern to Return to traditional radio?  )

(Lets all hope and pray if  Stern does comeback to main stream radio that he has or will be changed. Stern is a man all people of faith should pray is changed by the living God. He is also a sign of how sick our culture is. )

NFL Picks

AFC Championship Game: Indianapolis Colts vs. New York Jets

As I posted last week I hate to pick games where I am a fan  of  a team is  playing.  I am a fan of the Colts. The Colts non running game could hurt them but I believe their power in other parts of the game will keep their fans happy. Look for the Colts to win  and perhaps by 10.

I was wrong  last week far as both of these teams  go. I believe this week the Saints will do it. However I would not at all be shocked to see either one of these teams win. I will also be happy for whoever wins.
Again if you put the house on my picks you are a big gambler and perhaps crazy too.

Pat Robertson Doesn't Speak for All Evangelical Christians

In case you missed it, a few weeks ago Pat Robertson  head of CBN said this on the 700 Club
PAT ROBERTSON: "Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it. They were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon III and whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, "We will serve you if you will get us free from the French." True story. And so, the devil said, "OK, it's a deal."

(No matter if Rev. Pat meant it or not he seem to be saying what happen in Haiti was a judgement of God. Does God judge nations? Yes the Bible tells us he does. However the goal of every follower of Jesus should be to help those in need by showing them the grace and love of Jesus.  My Pastor said the following  last Sunday before my church took up an offering  to help a ministry which is doing good work to help those in Haiti. "Pat Robertson doesn't speak for every Evangelical Christian. He doesn't speak for this one. Pat Robertson needs to be rebuked." Amen Pastor Don. He doesn't speak for this Evangelical Christian either and I know there are many others who he doesn't speak for. As wrong as Robertson  was about Haiti he is also  hurting  us who follow Jesus  and are submitted to the Lordship of his word- the Bible. Even more hurtful  is what people are seeing and thinking  of the gospel  thanks to what Rev. Robertson said about Haiti. I hope he will repent. In the mean time  please know Mr. Robertson doesn't speak for all Evangelical Christians.

Obama second year and Right to Life culture

Well Obama is starting his second year as our President. What do I think of him. First off  before I make some judgements please know I keep all of our leaders including President Obama in my prayers. I pray  that our leaders are encouraged where they need that and where they are wrong they will be changed. Above all I pray the message of salvation through Jesus would become real in their lives.

So what do I think of  the  politics and policies of President Obama and what he is doing to America.

----------------------------

Friday, Jan. 22 is a horrible ann. of the supreme court decision that made abortion the law of the land. While we hope and pray for the day....

To find out more of my thoughts on the above and more watch a video I posted last night Obama second year and Right to Life culture 1-21
