JUSTICE ALITO MOUTHS 'NOT TRUE' TO OBAMA...

POLITICO's Kasie Hunt, who's in the House chamber, reports that Justice Samuel Alito mouthed the words "not true" when President Barack Obama criticized the Supreme Court's campaign finance decision.

"Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests — including foreign corporations — to spend without limit in our elections," Obama said. "Well I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people, and that’s why I’m urging Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps to right this wrong."

The shot of the black-robed Supreme Court justices, stone-faced, was priceless. (JUSTICE ALITO MOUTHS 'NOT TRUE' TO OBAMA...  )

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) stood up behind the justices and clapped vigorously while Alito shook his head and quietly mouthed his discontent.

(We are headed down a dangerous road if a President is going to tell the highest court in the land how to rule or how it should decide a case and that is what Mr. Obama did last night.)

Gay Dating Site Ad During Super Bowl...

After days of deliberations on whether to run a controversial Super Bowl ad from gay dating site ManCrunch.com, CBS has not yet reached a decision.

The 30-second spot shows two men excitedly watching the game, before their hands brush as they both reach into a bowl of chips. Suddenly, the two begin making out, much to the shock of a guy sitting close by.   (CBS Considers Gay Dating Site Ad During Super Bowl...  )

According to a rep for the dating site, which operates under the slogan “Where Many Many Many Men Come Out to Play,” the ad was submitted on Monday, January 18th. When the site followed up on the status of the ad on Friday, January 22nd, they were told by CBS that “the spot hadn’t been officially approved yet" by network standards, and that "all the Super Bowl spots were sold out.”

SLIDESHOW: Click here to see famous banned Super Bowl ads.

(I hope CBS doesn't agree to play this ad but I wouldn't be shocked if they do. How sad and sick. )

Obama directly condemns Supreme Court

Obama  did something improper when he directly condemned the  Supreme Court; during his speech last night
for a ruling it made. The Judges were seating right there and some of them didn't look happy with his attack and the Democrats cheering what he said. Perhaps some of the Judges won't come to next year's address.

ObamaDeclares: 'I don't quit'...

Caught between disgruntled voters and a president urging them to press ahead on divisive issues such as health care, Democratic lawmakers must soon decide whether Barack Obama is leading them toward statesmanlike courage or political folly.

Obama used his first State of the Union speech Wednesday to try to hit the reset button on health care and to offer a hodgepodge of tax breaks and other incentives to create new jobs. He mixed overtures with digs toward Republicans. But he mainly addressed fellow Democrats, who still can enact his agenda if they overcome fears fueled by events such as last week's stunning GOP victory in the Massachusetts Senate race.

That setback may have cost Democrats their filibuster-proof Senate majority, Obama said, but "we still have the largest majority in decades, and the people expect us to solve some problems, not run for the hills."

(Obama doesn't still get it. He thinks he needs to keep trying what the people of America including those who live in a State like Mass. which most of the times votes to the left have said no to. Obama needs to change and stop pushing an agenda from the left. He needs to start by stopping his push for forced government health care and stop spending along with cutting taxes. Do I want Obama to fail as President? Yes I do but let me make it clear when I say that I want his policies to fail. If Obama changes his politics I will become his fan. The State of the Union

Last night President Obama gave his State of the Union Address.
What is the State of our Union. Here are some of my thoughts on that.
I believe the  economy will  improve. There is a saying I like tough times don't last but tough people do.
What concerns me the most is where America is far as our morals and values go. We have kicked God and faith out of our schools and much of culture.
People who stand up for family based values are being called people full of hate.
Those who follow the Bible are put down too much by the media and even by those who are running our nation.
The influence of the church is not what it once was because people see the church as a group of buildings instead of a group of people who are submitted to the Lordship of Jesus and his word - the Bible.
Still there is nothing that can stop God from giving us a spiritual change. We must repent and pray that God will change America. The Bible says there is nothing impossible for God to do. ( Luke 18:27)

Obama's State of the Union Address

Here are some of my thoughts on what President Obama said last night in his State of the Union address..
A. He kept blaming Bush:  I for one and I believe others feel the same way are getting tired of that. Obama is our President now and he needs to start accepting the blame for what is taking place here in America.
B. Health care: He said he will work with both parties on this. That was good to hear however haven't  Republicans given their ideas and have not even been welcomed at the behind the doors meetings they have had. He once again blamed those evil people who are part of the insurance company's.
Obama said some good things like drilling for oil but is he a man who can be trusted. I don't think so he said the health care talk would be covered on C-Span. Yet when it came time to do that he said no to C-Span. What Obama needs to do is cut taxes and spending. Then I will start believing what he says.

Political asylum for home schoolers

A German couple who fled to Tennessee so they could home school their children has been granted political asylum by an immigration judge in Memphis. (See earlier story)

The decision clears the way for Uwe Romeike his wife and five children to stay in Morristown, Tennessee, where they have been living since 2008.

Uwe Romeike and children (compliments of Assoc. Press)German law requires children to attend public or private schools, and parents can face fines or prison time if they don't comply. Romeike, an evangelical Christian, said he believes Germany's curriculum is "against Christian values."

(It is time to be able to report some good news. How sad that good people who want to do what is best for their children got in trouble just for wanting to educate their children at home. Read more on this issue Political asylum for home schoolers.)

Stamping out Mother Teresa's postal debu

An atheist organization wants the image of Mother Teresa removed from a U.S. postage stamp.

The Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF) is calling for cancellation of the stamp based on the alleged separation of church and state. Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute, believes the motion is outrageous.

"For her to be excluded simply because of her religious background for her incredible public service to humanity would be a deplorable act by government and uncalled for," he comments. (Stamping out Mother Teresa's postal debut  )

(If there is no God like this group preaches what difference does it make if  Mother Teresa is on a postage stamp or not. This group wants to take all faith out of the culture.  I bet no one who belongs to this group as done anything close to the good works that Mother Teresa did to help the poor and needy around the world.)

Hagel's opinions on D.C. topics

Former Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., gave his opinions Monday on several hot-button political topics, including these.

On Obama: Hagel said the president is doing a generally good job and gave him credit for restoring the U.S. image around the world. Hagel commended Obama for taking on health care, even though the president “probably got too far ahead of the public” on some aspects of the issue. Overall, he said, President Obama is “a solid president for this country. (Hagel's opinions on D.C. topics  )

(So Mr. Hagel  thinks that Obama is making people around the world think better of America. There was a day when we wanted our leader to do what is right and best for America instead of being worried what others thought of us. Also where has Obama gotten anything for America because others like him. )

Controversy Over Pro-Life Super Bowl Ad Featuring Tim Tebow

(Below  is part of a transcript from "The O'Reilly Factor," from last night's program.  )

BILL O'REILLY, HOST: In the "Impact" segment tonight: the first big Super Bowl controversy. This year CBS is charging more than $2 million for a 30 second commercial during the game, if you can believe it.

Conservative Focus on the Family organization pony up the money to run an ad about abortion. The commercial stars Tim Tebow and his mother. Apparently Mrs. Tebow was told to have an abortion for health reasons, but obviously did not.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TIM TEBOW, UNIV. OF FLORIDA QUARTERBACK: I don't feel like I'm very preachy about it but I do stand up for what I believe. And at least you can respect that. Because I do stand up. And unfortunately in today's society, not many athletes tend to do that that. And that's the reason I'm here is because my mom is a very courageous woman. And you know, once they know in a lot of circumstances. So you know, that's the reason I'm here. I'm very thankful for that.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

O'REILLY: All right. With us now, Jehmu Greene, president of the Women's Media Center, who wants CBS is abort the ad, so to speak.

GREENE: Well, I can't imagine the decision that the Tebows had to face when given the news about the pregnancy. And I think it's that very choice that Pam Tebow was allowed to make about her reproductive health decisions that this ad is trying to take away for all American women.

O'REILLY: Why would it do that though? If it's a positive ad that I made my choice and it was the right choice and I'm happy we made the choice and Tim obviously is happy, why is that trying to take anything away from anybody? It's a positive statement.

GREENE: This is clearly a thinly veiled attempt to undermine a woman's right to…

O'REILLY: How?

GREENE: ...make decisions about her reproductive decisions.

O'REILLY: How? How is it though? I don't understand how it undermines anything. It just tells their story.

GREENE: I think it tells a story of a woman who had that right…

O'REILLY: Right.

GREENE: Clearly, clearly Focus on the Family has an anti-choice agenda. They also have…

O'REILLY: Whoa, whoa, whoa. That's true, Focus on the Family's…

GREENE: ...a homophobic agenda.

O'REILLY: Wait, wait, wait.

GREENE: They're…

O'REILLY: Now you're attacking the group and not the ad. I don't know if that's fair. Let's stay on the ad. Focus on the Family, as you rightly point out, is a pro-life group.

O'REILLY: They don't like abortion, OK. But that doesn't mean everything they do is bad. And that doesn't mean everything they advertise should be banned, does it?

O'REILLY: Are you offended — wait, wait, hold it. Are you offended that Tim Tebow's alive?

(MS. Greene is showing that those who claim to be pro choice aren't really pro choice they are pro death. They only want the freedom of choice when the mother will decide to abort the baby. I thought O'Reilly made a great point when he said are you offended that Tim Tebow is alive.  Read the whole transcript Controversy Over Pro-Life Super Bowl Ad Featuring Tim Tebow .)

Obama Will Call For Repeal Of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'...

President Obama will ask Congress Wednesday night to repeal the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy that bars gays and lesbians from openly serving, White House Senior Adviser David Axelrod told CNN.

The request will be included in the president's State of the Union address, Axelrod said.

The issue has been a source of contention for heavy hitters on both sides of the issue, who are lining up for a fight.

(All of us who care about America and faith based values need to come together to oppose this move by Obama. This issue shouldn't be about rights  but what is best for those who are defending America. The  military is not the right place to try to change the culture or  push an agenda.  Read more on this issue Obama Will Call For Repeal Of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'.)
