Benny Hinn's wife files for divorce

The wife of televangelist Benny Hinn has filed for divorce in California.

Suzanne Hinn filed the papers in Orange County on Feb. 1, citing irreconcilable differences after more than 30 years of marriage. The papers note that the two separated on Jan. 26.

Hinn's ministry released a statement saying, "Although Pastor Hinn has faithfully endeavored to bring healing to their relationship, those efforts failed."

Critics and watchdog groups have accused Hinn of raising money to enrich himself. He is one of six televangelists under investigation by Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley, the ranking Republican on the Senate Banking Committee, over whether he complied with IRS rules for nonprofits.

( I am not a big backer of Hinn or his ministry. However lets pray and keep an eye on this matter. I don't know all the details but down the road as more stuff comes out we may need to call for Hinn to step away from the ministry. Isn't it sad that people of faith are seeing their marriages end just like the world. As I posted a few weeks ago instead of fighting same sex marriages we need to focus on saving marriages between one man and one woman.  Read more on this issue   Benny Hinn's wife files for divorce.)

Five Muslim Soldiers Arrested at Fort Jackson...

CBN News has learned exclusively that five Muslim soldiers at Fort Jackson in South Carolina were questioned just before Christmas. It is unclear whether the men are still in custody. The five were part of the Arabic Translation program at the base.

Patrick Jones, the Deputy Public Affairs Officer for Fort Jackson, confirmed for CBN News Thursday afternoon that an investigation was ongoing.

Prior to this posting, CBN News learned that these details were also confirmed by a government official with knowledge of the investigation.

The men are suspected of trying to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson. (Five Muslim Soldiers Arrested at Fort Jackson...

(This nation and it's leaders need to stop being P.C. when it comes to those who are followers of Islam. The truth is followers of Islam want to kill every Christian along with every Jew and destroy our way of life here in the Weest. )

Back from the Dead Healthcare Reform from the Democrats

President Barack Obama is expected to publish his healthcare plan as early as Sunday or Monday, combining features of the two Democratic bills passed by the Senate and House of Representatives, congressional aides and healthcare advocates said on Friday.

The administration's bill will aim to jump-start the stalled healthcare overhaul and comes just days ahead of a planned televised White House summit with congressional Republicans, who are calling on Democrats to scrap the bills and start over with a far less sweeping proposal.

Democrats are struggling to push healthcare legislation over the finish line in the face of sagging public support and solid Republican opposition bolstered by recent election victories in Massachusetts, Virginia and New Jersey.

(This is making me more and more tired. The American people have said they don't want the kind of health care that Obama and the Democrats are pushing down us. This is an outrage. So next time I get ill should I call Dr. Obama or Dr. Reid instead of calling my own doctor. Read more on this issue BACK FROM THE DEAD: DEMS VOW TO RAHM-THROUGH HEALTHCARE!)

Tiger Woods starts comeback with a speech...

Out of sight for almost three months, Tiger Woods will be back for a day.

After that - who knows.

Golf's biggest star is to make his first public appearance Friday since he ran his SUV over a fire hydrant and into a tree outside his Florida home on Nov. 27, setting off a shocking and sordid sex scandal.

The setting for his return is decidedly friendly. It may be hard to remember the planet is watching.

Woods will speak to a small group of "friends, colleagues and close associates" in the Sunset Room on the second floor of the TPC Sawgrass, home of the PGA Tour. Just one video camera will broadcast the event and there will be no questions.

Once he's done, Woods apparently won't be sticking around much longer.

(Tiger  should say he is sorry and truly mean it. Then he should act like he is. He needs to break off relationships 100% with those other women. He needs not to make any excuses but own up to his sin. If he hasn't he needs to work on making thing right with his wife and children. Also the media should leave his family alone.  All of us who are people of faith need to pray for Tiger along with his wife, and children. Read more on this issue Tiger Woods starts comeback with a speech.)

Give up your iPod for Lent, bishops urge

British church leaders are encouraging people to give up their iPods for Lent, instead of more traditional vices such as chocolate, to help save the planet.

The Bishop of London, Richard Chartres, and the Bishop of Liverpool, James Jones, are among those calling for a carbon fast for Lent -- a period ahead of Easter which Christians traditionally consider a time of penance and reflection -- which begins on Wednesday.

As well as spending a day without using technology such as mobile phones or iPods, the 46 daily suggestions also include eating by candlelight, cutting meat and vegetables thinner so they cook faster and flushing the toilet less often.

(How sad is it when th PC talk hits the church. Those who are in spiritual leadership need to help people find  out what a relationship with God is all about and how to grow in that relationship. There should not be this worldly talk of putting the planet ahead of people and faith in God inside the church. Read more on this issue Give up your iPod for Lent, bishops urge.)

Quebec doctors: Time for euthanasia has come...

Euthanasia is already a reality in Quebec hospitals, the president of the federation of Quebec medical specialists, told a National Assembly committee yesterday.

Doctors know when death is "imminent and inevitable," Gaétan Barrette explained.

But doctors are aware they can be charged with murder if they administer a "palliative sedative" before a patient is on his or her last breath.

Geoffrey Kelley, chairman of the committee, explained that MNAs will hear about 30 expert witnesses on "dying with dignity" to prepare a paper for a travelling public consultation this fall. (Quebec doctors: Time for euthanasia has come...  )

Barrette told the committee the issue of euthanasia could not be discussed in Quebec 50 years ago, comparing it with the evolution in thinking about abortion.

"Doctors are ready to debate euthanasia," Barrette said. And like abortion, he said, limits must be established. Not every patient will want euthanasia and not all doctors will agree to perform the procedure.

Barrette explained that a patient who is lucid consults with a doctor, friends and family members before requesting euthanasia.

(We here in America need to be careful with this kind of talk. This could be something that comes to pass thanks to government health care. That is why we need to value all human life as a gift from God. It doesn't matter if it is an unborn child or an older person who has lived for years. All life is a gift and death should not be rushed by anyone.)

Obama appoints Muslim envoy and Makes us Look Weak

An Islamic critic and terrorism expert says President Barack Obama should not have named a special envoy to an Islamic organization that is an absolute enemy of the United States.

President Barack Obama has named White House lawyer Rashad Hussain as his special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), which represents 57 Muslim countries.

"It takes two to repair relations, and he's not going to be able to do it on his own," comments Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch. "He's reaching out and reaching out and reaching out, and all he is doing is giving them the impression that we're weak, and that's really the way in which the Islamic Jihad groups operate. They understand weakness and strength. They don't understand conciliation; they see it as weakness."

(Obama has not showing  us he is ready to fight those who hate us. These people won't be happy until every Jew, Christian is dead and our way of life is history. Thanks President Obama for making us look weak. Read more of the above story Obama appoints Muslim envoy.)

Doctors learn to treat Sudanese but At what Price Thanks to Planned Parenthood

The large Sudanese population in Nebraska and Iowa brings unique challenges to the doctors and nurses who treat them, and a Sudanese physician this week tried to provide some solutions.

Dr. Muawia Gorti spoke this week in Omaha with representatives of Planned Parenthood, the Charles Drew Health Center, the University of Nebraska Medical Center and other groups. Gorti, who is employed by Planned Parenthood’s international division, addressed that agency’s clinicians and staffers earlier in the week in Des Moines. (Doctors learn to treat Sudanese  )

Gorti and those he spoke to agreed that the Sudanese display vast cultural differences and foreign notions of medical care.

Although many experts say Omaha has one of the largest Sudanese populations in the nation, pinning down that number, like grasping Sudanese culture, has proven elusive.

Maggie Kalkowski, a Lutheran Family Services official at the Omaha meeting, said estimates have ranged in Omaha from 6,000 to 25,000.

Penny Dickey, chief operating officer for Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, estimated that Iowa has 6,000 people of Sudanese origin

( The above is part of a story which was in my local paper a few days ago. I am sorry but anytime Planned Parenthood is involved I get a funny feeling.  This is a group which will do everything in it's power to kill babies and to keep them from being  born  regardless what race or culture they are. Also  Planned Parenthood will do what it can to keep parents from knowing what their children are doing.)

For elderly Russian, man accused as camp guard is vivid memory

His name is Alexei Vaitsen. He is one of the few Jews to survive the torments of the Nazis' Sobibor death camp and the only member of his family who lived to see the end of World War II.

His thoughts these days are hundreds of miles away, in a distant courtroom where the fate of another sick old man is being weighed. John Demjanjuk, who is accused of being a guard at Sobibor, lay on a bed before a judge in Germany last week because, he said, he was not well enough to sit upright.

In Munich, where Demjanjuk is on trial, other aged prisoners have climbed into the witness box. They described the sadism of the guards, detailed the terrors of gas chambers and talked about Jews being led obliviously to their deaths. None of them could remember Demjanjuk.

Vaitsen says he can.

"It's him. I know him," Vaitsen, 88, says vehemently. "I'm 100% sure."

(My heart as all of our hearts should go out  to those who survived or saw love ones killed during   the evil of the death camps. Also something from the Bible comes to my mind,  "your sins will find you out." A soul can hide from the evil they have done but you can't hide from God. Lets hope justice is done for  Vaitsen and others who will never forget the evil they saw in these camps.  Read more of the above story For elderly Russian, man accused as camp guard is vivid memory.)
