Republican Sen.-elect Scott Brown of Massachusetts says he opposes federal
funding for abortions, but thinks women should have the right to choose whether
to have one.
Brown told ABC's This Week that he disagrees with his party's
position that the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion should be
overturned. The incoming lawmaker says the abortion question is one that's best
handled by a woman, her family and her doctor. (Scott Brown defends pro-abortion
stance )
(I hope we don't need to prepare for another member of the GOP to let us down. I hope Mr. Brown's focus doesn't become why the GOP is wrong on abortion. I hope he will put his focus more on why he was voted into office rather than what he doesn't agree with his own party on. I also hope he said a lot of other things to ABC and they just published this part because they are part of the anti life crowd.)
