Liberty Counsel is encouraging young people to take an abstinence pledge before Valentine's Day.
This marks the seventh year Liberty Counsel has spearheaded the Day of Purity, and the observance asking young people to pledge to remain sexually pure until marriage will be marked on Friday.
Amber Haskew, national coordinator for the Day of Purity, says with an estimated 24,000 American teenagers contracting a sexually transmitted disease every day, the need for such an initiative is great.
(If young people will wait until marriage they will be kept safe far as getting a sexual illness. Those who think young people can't wait much not have much faith in today's youth. We teach young people to wait far as drinking goes why don't we believe the same far sex goes. Good for Liberty Counsel for doing this. Read more of the above story 'Day of Purity'
on Friday.)
