As high school seniors prepare to graduate, questions are again being raised
about whether it's legal for students to pray at graduation
ceremonies.
At Greenwood High School in Indiana, seniors are allowed to vote
on whether to have student-led prayer at graduation. They have prayed at
commencement services there for years, and this year, the student body again
voted in the affirmative. But after one student voted no, he received help from
the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and is challenging the policy in a
lawsuit. The school district plans to fight it.
(So I guess it doesn't matter what the majority thinks. If the vote goes against you just dial ACLU. This makes you just so thankful for our government schools doesn't it? Read more on this issue To pray -- or not to pray.)
