Planned Parenthood in the State of Nebraska filed a lawsuit yesterday to keep Legislative
Bill 594 from taking effect as scheduled July 15.
The law, passed this
spring, will require doctors to perform extensive screenings of women seeking
abortions in the state.
Planned Parenthood claims the law is
unconstitutional because it imposes requirements on doctors that are impossible
to meet.
“It is a very onerous act that in fact obstructs access to
abortion at all states of pregnancy,” said Jill June, the president and CEO of
the Des Moines-based organization.
Under the law, doctors would have to
assess women for any indication that they feel pressured to have an abortion, as
well as for risk factors that could predispose them to mental or physical
complications.
What is wrong in making sure the lady who wants to have her baby killed is not being pressured to have the act done. Well of course this law would stop abortion doctors and groups like Planned Parenthood from doing what they make big bucks doing. You see those do abortions aren't doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. If you like you can read more about this issue
