During the confirmation hearings on Capitol Hill, for Supreme Court nominee
Elena Kagan, she has been misleading on the abortion issue -- that is according to Americans United for Life.
AUL attorney Anna Franzonello told OneNewsNow that Kagan's view
of abortion is contrary to the view of a majority of Americans who do see the
need for some limits on abortion.
"She essentially confirmed her belief
[in] Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton -- the cases from 1973 that
essentially constitutionalized this 'right' to abortion -- with an expansive no
regulations allowed," says Franzonello.
Kagan told senators that any
state regulation on abortion must have a broad health exception -- but the
pro-life attorney makes the point that that is contrary to a previous Supreme Court
decision.
"That ignores the fact [of] the current state of the law -- the
current Supreme Court precedent in Gonzales v. Carhart, which upheld
the partial-birth abortion ban of 2003 without a health exception," she
explains. "That's the law."
Kagan is going to be radical on the court and it looks like will allow babies to be killed for any reason up to the time of birth but we should not be shocked after all look at who has named her to the high court. This should show us or remind us it does matter who wins elections. We would be one step closer to seeing the Row vs. Wade decision changed if McCain was now our President. The lesson is knowing who you are voting for and vote for the right person. You can read more on this issue Kagan revealing extreme view on
