Al-Qaida: No. 3 official killed with family

Al-Qaida announced Monday that its No. 3 official, Mustafa al-Yazid, had been killed along with members of his family — perhaps one of the most severe blows to the terror movement since the U.S. campaign against al-Qaida began. A U.S. official said al-Yazid was believed to have died in a U.S. missile strike.

A statement posted on an al-Qaida Website said al-Yazid, which it described as the organization's top commander in Afghanistan, was killed along with his wife, three daughters, a grandchild and other men, women and children but did not say how or where.

(Billy's Thoughts??While I don't take pleasure in the death of evil man the world will be a better place without this man who now has faced the true God. It is too bad his family had to die with him. Read more of the above story Al-Qaida: No. 3 official killed with family.)

U.N. Condemns Israeli 'Acts'

Israel's commando raid on a flotilla of pro-Palestinian "aid" ships that left nine activists dead has touched off a chain of events from the United Nations to Egypt's border with Gaza that threaten to isolate the Jewish state from the international community.

The U.N. Security Council

called early Tuesday for an "impartial" investigation of Israel's deadly raid and condemned the "acts" that resulted in the loss of at least nine lives, a watered-down version of a resolution sought by Islamic nations leading the ferocious international condemnation of Israel.

Not far from the site of the naval raid, several thousand Gazans are making a furious rush to the Egyptian border, hoping to take advantage of a rare chance to escape the blockaded territory.

(Billy's Thoughts>>> Why is it the UN always goes after Israel but never the PLO when they kill Jews and where was President Obama and his man at the UN. This was wrong and should us that the UN  just wants to bash Israel and the US. However now they have some help from this current  White House who will egg them on or join in with them. Read morU.N. Breaking News: GORES SPLIT... ...AFTER 40 YEARS

Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, are separating after 40 years of marriage.

According to an e-mailed statement obtained by The Associated Press on Tuesday, the Gores said it was "a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration."

Gore spokeswoman Kalee Kreider confirmed the statement came from the Gores, but declined to comment further.

(Billy's Thoughts>>> Even though I have never been a Gore fan this is sad as it is when any marriage breaks up. My heart goes out to their children. Read more GLOBAL COOLING: GORES SPLIT... AFTER 40 YEARS.)

Iranian prisoners released

Two Iranian Christians who were arrested more than a year ago because of their faith and religious activities have been acquitted and released.

Maryam Rostampour and Marzieh Amirizadeh were arrested in March of last year and were held in Tehran's notorious Evin Prison for refusing to deny their faith. The Iranian authorities took more than a month to file any official charges against them, but the women were eventually indicted for taking part in illegal gatherings and acting against state security.

Dr. Carl Moeller, CEO of Open Doors USA, now reports that though the women have been released, they have also been forced to leave their country.

(Billy's Thoughts>>>> These two followers of Jesus wanted to remain in Iran but it would have not been safe. At least they are freed and that is a big praise report. Read more Iranian prisoners released.)

9-11 mosque - the propaganda coup of all time

With ten abstentions and a vote of 29-1, Manhattan Community Board No. 1 decided to back a proposal to build a Muslim community center near the World Trade Center site. The vote was advisory because the board does not have the power to scrap plans for the center, but its approval is being seen as an important barometer of community sentiment.
Andrew McCarthy, a former terrorism prosecutor and author of the recently released book The Grand Jihad: How Islam and the Left Sabotage America, does not agree with the board's vote.

Andrew C. McCarthy"I think the mosque is an affront to common sense and decency, frankly," he contends. "What they're trying to accomplish is at the place where you have the felling of two of the great pillars of the Western economy and Western civilization. Where they are no more, they would raise a mosque up."

(Billy's Thoughts>> This is indeed an insult to the people of New York, and America. It is also a very hurtful thing to do to the families who had love ones murdered in the 911 attacks. I don't understand how  a board from New York say it is OK with them to built this. They need to study about radical Islam and the 911 attacks. If we start to think  radical Islam is just like any other faith we will be where the followers of that faith want us and we will be in trouble.  Read more on this 9-11 mosque - the propaganda coup of all time.)

Christian Groups Expelled from Afghanistan

Afghan authorities suspended two Christian foreign aid groups on suspicion of proselytizing in the strictly Islamic nation and said a follow-up investigation would include whether other groups were trying to convert Muslims.

U.S.-based Church World Service and Norwegian Church Aid will not be allowed to operate while the allegations, aired Sunday on Afghan television, are investigated, said Mohammad Hashim Mayar, the deputy director of the Afghan government office that oversees nongovernment organizations. (Christian Groups Expelled from Afghanistan)

An investigation commission including officers from the National Security and Interior Ministries had been appointed, he said.

Both organizations denied the allegation, and Mayar said officials did not have any evidence of proselytizing beyond the television report.

"They are investigating whether the groups were proselytizing or not," Mayar said. "They will report back and also assess what is the impact of closing these NGOs. The investigation will include whether other groups or individuals are involved.

(Billy's Thoughts>>> Far as this story goes a friend of mine posted something like this on his blog.My friend doesn't know what upsets him more.

1) The fact that  these  Christian relief groups are being kicked out of Afghanistan "on suspicion of proselytizing."

2) The fact that proselytizing is illegal in Afghanistan as, of course, it is in many Muslim countries. (They  want  our soldiers, our money, our skill in development but then have the nerve to outlaw us from even talking about why we're moved to help others in the first place.)

3) Or the fact that both of the Christian groups  insist that evangelism is something they never do! And that makes me wonder how Christian these groups are since evangelism is  a core element of the Faith.

Why we're losing the 'gay' debate

Last Friday, Democrats led the House of Representatives in passing legislation to allow the open practice of homosexuality in the United States military for the first time in our history.  This is a catastrophic move that is coming as the result of political correctness trumping common sense.

It also demonstrates the extraordinary success of the rabid homosexual lobby that has, in a matter of just a few decades, successfully altered the landscape of this and other debates regarding depraved sexual conduct.  Because of their ceaseless onslaught of propaganda, a majority of Americans (some even within the church) have come to believe in the existence of a group of people whose natural state is "homosexual."  We now casually use this terminology, assuming that there are "heterosexuals" and "homosexuals."

When we accept this baseline, we have detached ourselves from rational thinking.  We have allowed the debates over "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," marriage rights, hospital visitation and other legislative objectives like adoption privileges to become ones of civil rights and fairness.  And once those advancing homosexuality have successfully framed these debates in this way, those holding to traditional morality are helpless.  They are easily portrayed as cruel, discriminatory, hateful bigots unwilling to extend the rights they want for themselves to others who are not like them.  Needless to say, this is all by design.  It has been the stated strategy of the homosexual agenda from the start.

Yet all it would take to undo this fraudulent charade is basic common sense – the greatest enemy of political correctness.  So here it is: all sexual behavior – married heterosexual conduct, adulterous heterosexuality, bestiality, necrophilia, homosexuality, pedophilia, coprophilia, polyamory...ALL of it – is chosen behavior.  No one is compelled into any sexual conduct.  Even those who choose to abide by God's design for sex within the confines of a married, monogamous, man/woman relationship, how, when and if they engage in sexual behavior, is a choice.  It has nothing to do with unalterable, unchangeable, immutable characteristics.

Mullen under fire for 'dereliction of his duty'

A conservative military watchdog who has lobbied hard against repeal of the 1993 law banning homosexuals from military service is blasting the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for the way he has conducted himself throughout the debate.

Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness (CMR), believes Admiral Mike Mullen (USN) should be held accountable for how he has handled the issue.

"As the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, he does not have operational responsibilities," she contends. "His sole role is to convey to the president the best professional advice of the other four services. ( Mullen under fire for 'dereliction of his duty'  )

"He did not do that," Donnelly argues. "Instead, he served as a conduit for the political views of the president. In other words, [he] conveyed views from the president on down rather [than] from the other service chiefs on up. That, I think, was a dereliction of his duty."

(Billy's Thoughts:>>> Also shouldn't he be looking out for those who are serving in the military. So far we have not had any study on how they feel about this law being changed. There is going to be one but thanks to President Obama, congress, gay right  groups, and Admiral Mike Mullen that won't matter.  They all jumped the boat and caved in to the radical political left.)

Sestak offer - Obama's Watergate?

Some Republicans believe the Obama administration may have broken the law in offering Democrat Joe Sestak a job in exchange for bowing out of his bid for Senate against White House-supported Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter.

Joe Sestak and Bill ClintonThe White House revealed on Friday that Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel actually had former President Bill Clinton ask Sestak last February to drop out of his race for the Democratic Senate nomination -- a race the challenger eventually won. In response, Sestak told reporters that during that telephone conversation with Clinton he declined the administration's offer for a non-paying presidential advisory position.

(Billy's Thoughts:>>>I just President Clinton had to have something to do with this. I heard the other day on Fox news somebody on the left says everyone in politics does things like this. So if they do should we forget the law. Read more of the above story Sestak offer - Obama's Watergate?)

Woman sues GOOGLE, blames faulty GOOGLE MAPS directions...

Turn right at the next intersection and continue for 3 miles. Oh, and watch out for any oncoming traffic.

A California woman is suing Google after she was hit by a car while following directions provided by Google Maps on her cell phone, according to AOL News.

Lauren Rosenberg says that the Google Maps BlackBerry application told her to use Deer Valley Drive -- a highway also called Utah State Route 224 -- to walk from one Park City address to another.
However, the directions did not tell her that there were no sidewalks along Deer Valley Drive, which, Rosenberg alleges, led to her being struck by traffic. (Woman sues GOOGLE, blames faulty GOOGLE MAPS directions)

(Billy's Thoughts>>> So was this lady out of town when they passed out brains.  I know at times it is hard to follow directions but you can't blame Google  every time there is a problem with the road. So are we going to blame them next time there is a  traffic jam on the CA. freeway. This lady needs to start using her brains instead of putting 100% of her faith in  Google. .)

Creepy Palin biographer: I didn't move next door to spy...

A  so called writer  who is working on a book about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says he moved to her hometown to talk to her longtime acquaintances, not to spy on the family.

Joe McGinniss said  today  on NBC's "Today" show that the price was right on the house next door to the Palins. He says he needs to be in Wasilla to do his work.

So he just moved next door to a lady who  he hates and I base that charge on his pass writings. I don't buy this he moved next door to her to see what she was doing and try to cause her family trouble. The freedom the press enjoys here in America doesn't mean the right to cause a family trouble. I thought at one time the family of well known people were off limits. US Cites AZ Immigration Law During Human Rights Talks with China,

During two days of talks about human rights with China last week, the US raised examples of problems on its own soil and cited Arizona's controversial new immigration law as an example of "racial discrimination."

“We brought it up early and often.  It was mentioned in the first session and as a troubling trend in our society, and an indication that we have to deal with issues of discrimination or potential discrimination.  And these are issues very much being debated in our own society,” Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy Human Rights and Labor Michael Posner, who led the US delegation to the talks, told reporters on Friday.

That the US mentioned the Arizona law during talks about human rights with China, consistently ranked among the worst human rights violators in the world, has raised the ire of some conservatives who see the US as apologizing for the law to a country that persecutes its own dissidents and minorities.

(Billy's Thoughts >>>This can't be true. It has to be a skit from Saturday Night Live. Nope it is true. Why would this White House bring up this issue with China who has murdered and put people in prison for not agreeing with the government or  for following a God instead of the state. This has to be one of the worst moves in the history human right  meeting. Read more of the above story US Cites AZ Immigration Law During Human Rights Talks with China.),

No Muslim prayer room

A German court says that a Berlin high school doesn't have to provide a   Muslim student with a private room to pray in during school hours.

The decision  overturned a lower court's ruling last year that ruled  granting a private room was necessary to guarantee the student had freedom of religion.

The higher court said one student's  rights could not be put before the good of the group as a whole.

I wonder what would happen here in America where we have become so :PC we don't want to upset followers of Islam.  Read more on this issue No Muslim prayer room.
