A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed to block Texas Governor Rick Perry
from having a role in an upcoming prayer event in Houston.
U.S. District Judge Gray H. Miller on Thursday afternoon ruled
that the group of atheists and agnostics that filed the suit, the Freedom From
Religion Foundation, did not have standing to sue. The plaintiffs argued that
Perry's day of prayer and fasting would violate the Constitution. The event,
called The Response, is scheduled for August 6.(Case against Perry, 'Response'
dismissed)
(Billy's Thoughts>>>> Thank God for a judge that thinks and knows our courts have more important things than to take time with a case filed by some souls who not only have a problem with God but want to keep others from praying. I guess these folks don't know prayer is still legal in America and very powerful in heaven. May they be shown that there is a God who gave his life for them.)
